Benton Scholarship Foundation sets annual fundraising goal - $50,000

The Benton Scholarship Foundation has set a campaign goal of $50,000 for 2017-2018 school year. This follows another successful year of fundraising that resulted in three new permanent scholarships established.

The Benton Scholarship Foundation presented 84 scholarships valued at $90,500 to members of the Benton Community High School Class of 2017.  Cristy Hurley, BSF President, said, "The fact we have more than 75 businesses, families and individuals with a permanent scholarship is a real testament to the community's support of our mission to help students further their education."

Named scholarships awarded for the first time in 2017 are as follows:

  • Townsley Family Scholarship

  • Mitch Fischer Memorial Scholarship

  • Don Krug Family Scholarship
